One of my humble-brag points of my business is that I get most of my clients through word-of-mouth. I love when past clients send new folks my way because usually it means they are going to be really similar to people I’ve loved working with in the past. This maternity session was no different.
I’ve been the photographer for Pete’s aunt for about a year. (She has an adorable baby girl who loves the camera!) She purchased a gift certificate to congratulate him and Rachel, and we finally got around to photographing their downtown Nashville maternity session!
Pete and Rachel were amazing to work with. They are both in creative fields and we just clicked. We had the chance to talk about baby names, our jobs, our families. Pete even has the baby’s middle name, River, tattooed on his neck.
We met at Cumberland Park, which overlooks the river, and were thankful to see the park was still a little green even on the tailend of wintertime. We snapped a few images there and then moved to the Pedestrian Bridge. It was still pretty early in the day so the bridge was quiet. Rachel looked like a goddess. She and Pete could have been king and queen of Nashville with how stunning they looked.
After the bridge, Pete pointed out a spot near the river that overlooks his tattoo parlor on 2nd Avenue. So of course we had to go check it out. We got some really awesome images from it so it was definitely worth it.
After hanging out with these two for a little over an hour, I can tell their little one is going to be the coolest, hippest kid on the block. I can’t wait to meet him. Here are some of my favorites from Pete and Rachel’s Nashville maternity session!
