Romantic Nashville Wedding at The Chapel at Firefly Lane

Let’s get one thing straight: I adore all of my wedding couples. But every now and then a couple comes along that reminds me why I chose to pursue photography in the first place. Chris and Savannah were married at the Chapel at Firefly Lane outside Nashville, Tennessee. The day was filled with love and lots of vintage vibes.

Savannah and Chris met in the cafeteria at Belmont University when a mutual friend introduced their friend groups. On their first date, they went to an alumni concert on campus, failed at a gelato run, and ended up with tea and homemade muffins at home. Two weeks later, they went hiking — and got lost! — at Percy Warner Park. They talked and walked for four hours and lost track of the trail they were taking.

After three years of exploring new cities, nighttime beach strolls, stargazing, cups of tea, and a mutual love for Harry Potter, Chris popped the question!

Savannah travelled to East Tennessee to spend the night with her grandmother on her way back from a trip for work. When she got to her grandmother’s house, she found Chris in her room, surrounded by roses. She knew immediately what was happening. Chris asked her to take a walk. It was drizzling that night but Savannah agreed anyway, and in the garden, he proposed. Savannah said yes and they hugged in the rain.

Savannah and Chris are so quaint and vintage it’s almost like they are out of a storybook. When she’s with her girlfriends, Savannah loves pizza, bubbly rosé, heart-to-hearts, and crafting. Chris says his ideal night with the guys is having deep life talks and laughs over dinner, followed by drinks, videogames, and music. Chris teaches music lessons and plays guitar for a living while Savannah works in public health.

As a couple they are self-described as caretakers, joyful, and a little bit dorky. They are truly passionate about taking care of people. This was clear to me after meeting them together for the first time. They exude gratitude, joy, and true servants’ hearts.

They ended up getting married in a brand new Nashville wedding chapel called Firefly Lane. You can see a lot of their style in the photos from their wedding day — Savannah’s GORGEOUS floral dress, all the beautiful laughter, and an impromptu bouquet gathering during our couples’ shoot.

Below are a few of my favorite images from their day.
